  • Yes, we accept independent entries without any restriction! Simply create an account on our website with the studio name: Independent – LastName (ex: Independent –Mendoza) and complete your registration.

  • Yes, we highly encouraged that you bring your own apparatus that you have been training on for competition. You can also ask your studio or school to supply the apparatus for you which we highly encourage. We will have apparatuses for competitors to utilize as needed.

  • Payment is required at the point of registration via our online payment system.

  • Competitors do not have to register for workshops, but it is highly recommended. Registered competitors having the opportunity to work with professionals in your field is an added bonus for all training athletes who want to take advantage of New training techniques, new tricks or unique transitions within their choreography routines that are presented by these professionals throughout these workshops.

  • Absolutely! Magic In Motion competition festival mandates that ALL competitors equipment and or studio, school equipment is inspected prior to competitor competing. Competitors equipment must be checked in with our riggers prior to competitors' heat. All cleared and checked equipment will receive a sticker notifying both backstage staff and backstage rigor that your equipment has been approved and ready to compete on. Any equipment that does not have a sticker on it will be sent back to the check-in station for review. Any competitor that misses their tech or competition heat, can result in point deductions.

  • Music may be submitted prior to the event via your studio or school Director, coach or teacher. If using the Music Upload feature via our online registration portal, upload must be completed 3 weeks prior to the competition by MIDNIGHT. Our Magic In Motion music technician will reach out to all studio, school and independent competitors with full details on how to submit your music via our website or dropbox account. All studios, schools and independent competitors are responsible for bringing a backup Flash drive of all music just in case there is a music malfunction through the website or dropbox account. Any studio, school or independent competitor that does not take these added steps could result in their competitor not being able to compete their routine on time, which can result in point deductions.

  • No, special requests cannot be made for competitors since Magic In Motion lives by the motto ”if you do it for one competitor you must do it for all“. If there are any unforeseen circumstances such as delayed flights, unforeseen traffic accidents, illness to competitors etc. exceptions can be made, but can only be determined by Magic In Motion Staff. 1 week prior to our Magic In Motion competition we will post an emergency phone number on our website that can be used to contact us directly in the event that you need to contact our organization immediately. This emergency number should only be used for the details listed above and within the dates of our competition.

  • We highly encourage any competitors under the age of 11 to have their coach on stage with them. Competitors within the age divisions of 7-11 that have either never competed before or get nervous on stage should have their coach with them to help keep them calm and help with any needed spotting for riskier tricks. Safety of competitors are Magic In Motions number one priority and coaches that need to spot or give encouragement while on stage for their competitor will not receive point deductions within this age division 7-11.

  • Yes, all competitors will be allowed a tech rehearsal to practice their routine on stage prior to them competing. All registered competitors will be allotted 5 minutes per act to rehearse their routines.This time block will be strictly enforced. Novice competitors will receive 4 minutes and professional artists will receive 8 minutes per act. Floor acts will not be allowed tech rehearsal on stage and aerial group routines will only be allowed to run their group routine once. Any competitor that refuses to comply with tech rehearsal time limits may receive point deductions by our music technician which will be passed along to our Magic In Motion judges.

  • The professional showcase will be open to all competitors, coaches and spectators. This event will require additional tickets to be purchased to attend. Ticket details will be listed on our website.Tickets can be purchased through our website or on site as long as tickets are still available.

  • Studio and school packets will be available approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the event. An email will be sent out to the studio or School with the email that was registered, submitted with Magic In Motion. The schedule of events will also be posted on our website 7 days prior to the event date. Email notifications will be sent when they become available. Studio and school packets will include event schedule, studio specific schedule with entry numbers, facility directions and any additional pertinent information.

    NOTE: Studio Specific Schedules will only be available when accounts are paid in full.

  • Refunds or credits can only be issued if a studio, school or independent competitor notifies Magic In Motion 30 days prior to competition. Anything less than 30 days will void a refund, but a credit can be given for next season‘s competition with a valid medical excuse. If our Magic In Motion event must be canceled due to our organization emails will be sent directly to the studio, school or independent competitor on how reimbursements will be issued.

  • Division and category details can be found on our website magicinmotionaerialfest.org. All description details can be found on our home page and our registration tab. Prior to registering for your division and category, please make sure that you read each division description and our rules and regulations page to help you decide what division you would like to enter. When getting ready to register your category, please refer back to your studio or school to help you make your competitive apparatus choice. Independent competitors should be registering under the current apparatus they are training on for competition.

  • Yes, competitors can compete in more than one category as long as they are not competing against themselves in a division. A competitor cannot compete on the same apparatus in their same age division. Please go to magicinmotion.com and review our homepage, registration page and rules and regulations page for further details.

  • Studios, schools and independent competitors can register for our early bird registration to receive perks for registering their acts during our early bird registration period. Special pricing will not be applicable, please visit our website magicmotion.com and click on our studio/school tab for further perk details.

  • Yes, Spectors will be required to purchase tickets to attend the Magic In Motion competition festival. Day passes will be available for purchase as well as weekend passes to Spectors. Special parent passes will also be available for purchase. Parent passes will allow parents to observe workshops and allow parents backstage access to competitors' areas. Pass check in areas will be required with Magic In Motion Staff for the safety of all competitors backstage.

  • While it is not required that you stay at a local hotel, it is highly recommended if you are traveling from out of state. We research all lodging in the area in an attempt to find you the best value for your stay. We select hotels based on quality, price, and distance from the event facility and list those hotels on our website. If you need lodging, please visit our website magicinmotion.com and click on the hotels nearby tab for further details. You can also call local hotels directly for their rates and any special discounted prices that are not listed on the Magic In Motion website.

  • Please refer to our website Magicinmotionaerialfest.org competition info and/or rules and regulations tab for ‘Time Limits’ maximum for solos, duos, trios and groups of all sizes. Please take note that deductions can apply if you compete over your designated time limit.

  • Fire, knives, weapons, live animals, helium-filled balloons and fog machines are prohibited.

    Motor vehicles cannot be started.

    Special lighting requests are not permitted

  • All photo/video of performances is strictly prohibited. This is in order to abide by copyright law and protect the privacy of the participating competitors who can include minors. We will have a professional videographer and photographer at the Magic In Motion competition festival capturing images and videos for all the incredible participating competitors. No recording devices of any kind are allowed in dressing rooms or restroom areas. Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in penalties for studios, Schools and independent competitors, disqualification of routines, and/or immediate removal from the competition. Permission must be granted by Magic In Motion staff and competitors studio, school or parent acknowledgment to videotape or photograph any Competitor competing in the Magic In Motion competition festival. We take the safety of all competitors, especially minors very seriously.
